Church members and others can send their messages of support to Laura who is currently working with a group of young people in Nicuragua.
They have travelled as part of the 'Enterprising St. Helens' initiative run by St. Helens Chamber, which aims to "help develop and inspire the young entrepreneurs of tomorrow."
A Facebook page has been set up which allows friends to send messages to the group and people are encouraged to post on the 'wall' their support and encouragement for Laura, while continuing to pray for her and her family.
A Facebook membership is required, and you need to 'Like' the page to be able to post on the wall. If you don't have a Facebook account, then you can either create one for free here, or leave your messages in the comments box at the bottom of this page which, although connected to Facebook, does not require you to be a member. We'll pass any messages left on this page onto Laura on your behalf.
The following update has been released on the Facebook page, direct from the group today, giving an insight into the work they are undertaking:
"Setting off for villages now. Nic's group are building fresh water system and Helen's group working on eco-latrines. Hostel has been fun but big group means people getting on each others nerves. Music festival last night was great and team sang 'Singing in the Rain' and 'If you're happy and you know it clap your hands'. They were the stars. The people are friendly and everyone is already very sweaty!! Tell parents to be very proud!"
Laura is working in Helen's group.
